Starburst is a unique variety of dragon fruit with maroon-burgundy skin and green bracts. It has red flesh and a sweet taste with little to no tartness. The flavor is similar to pomegranate and some say it has a hint of watermelon. Starburst is definitely a unique dragon fruit variety, it is an Asunta 5 sister. Once cut open you will be greeted by a floral scent, the fruit has red inside, medium to firm flesh. Starburst has a floral aroma in addition to being sweet with a Brix of 19 and above.
