Sugar Dragon is a dragon fruit variety created by Paul Thomson called S8 initially, and it was a cross using the Houghton and Rixford varieties. The flesh is a bright red purplish color with a semi-firm, very sweet texture with Brix score in the twenties. Sugar Dragon is known to be self-fertile, the pollen is a universal pollinator and can be used to pollinate any dragon fruit varieties. We acquired our Sugar Dragon cutting directly from Spicy Exotics, just for your peace of mind.
